Toni Almagro (founder)

Hey there! I’m Toni Almagro, a data scientist who’s more of a black swan than a white unicorn. Originally from Valencia, Spain, I made the leap to Madrid when I embarked on my PhD journey in 2012. Since the tender age of 5, I’ve been captivated by compelling stories. Whether through devouring books or indulging in a tad too much TV, I’ve always had a keen interest in the art of storytelling.

Fun fact: I even tried my hand at crafting fiction and earned a master’s in Creative Writing from VIU in 2018! Balancing the world of data with creativity, I’ve spent the last five years performing improv shows while imparting the wisdom of data science at KSchool. This unique blend of interests and experiences has given rise to my true passion — Data Storytelling.

Throughout my PhD journey, I honed not just my data-crunching skills but also my communication finesse and resilience. Picture me in a daily battle with data, fervently trying to squeeze out some value (or at least something worth publishing—check out my Google Scholar profile for the grand finale 😉). Join me on this exciting ride where data meets storytelling, and let’s turn the mundane into magic! ✨

Ausra Stirbyte

I’ve spent the last 10 years bouncing between two very different worlds: the buttoned-up, corporate IT space and the wild, creative chaos of advertising agencies.

In the corporate world, I was an Executive Assistant turned Marketing lead in an IT company. My job? Turning dense, boring data into something humans could actually understand. I designed presentations that made complex topics look simple and sound interesting. Before I knew it, colleagues were lining up, asking me to “work my magic” on their slides.

Later on, I traded corporate boardrooms for creative brainstorms, moving into agency life. I went from following strict guidelines to pitching big, bold ideas for clients in luxury, retail, gaming—you name it. This was where I learned how to sell a vision, craft a narrative, and bring ideas to life with visuals and mood boards that stuck.

Now, I bring the best of both worlds together. I teach people how to create presentations that blend structure with creativity, logic with emotion, and strategy with storytelling.
